Our Mission & Vision
Shanthi Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing evidence-based mindfulness education services to more than 5,500 children and adults annually across the Greater Lehigh Valley. For more than a decade, we have been working within schools and in the community to share mindfulness practices that support mental health and well-being. We teach others how to manage stress, increase focus, make healthier decisions, create meaningful friendships, and so much more—all through the simple practice of mindfulness.
Benefits of mindfulness include bolstered emotional resilience, increased self-awareness, reduced stress, and improved focus. In our increasingly complex 21st-century world, Shanthi Project’s work empowers others to establish, or re-establish, healthier and more productive relationships—with the ultimate goal of creating more resilient communities, nurtured by individuals with self-awareness and compassion, regardless of their past experiences.
Many thanks to ASR Media, Ashley Russo, Katie Santana, Stephanie Mettler, and the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley for making the above PSA a reality.

93.8% of participating teachers at Mosser Elementary School reported seeing an increase in "acts of kindness" after just
one eight-week mindfulness session.

Our Anti-Racism Commitment
We recognize the severe mental and physical health impact of oppression, structural racism, and systemic trauma that is epidemic in our communities, and specifically in our communities of color.
As we examine our work at Shanthi Project, we are reminded that mindfulness helps foster kindness, compassion, and empathy for ourselves and others.
